Terms of service

The shop

These terms are the agreement between you and Serene Dreams for this website, the notify list, and any piece you buy. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. Our shipping policy explains when a piece leaves and who pays duties.

Drops

Pieces are sold in limited drops. A piece is offered only while its window is open, and only in the sizes still available. When the window closes, or a size sells through, that piece is gone. We do not restock a closed drop.

The notify list is optional. A signup is not a promise that a drop will open, that a size will be available, or that you will be able to buy.

Orders

The price is the price shown for that piece when you check out, in U.S. dollars, plus any shipping or tax presented at checkout. Checkout runs on Square. An order is accepted when Square confirms that payment succeeded. We may refuse or cancel an order if we cannot fill it, if the price or description was posted in error, or if we believe the order is fraudulent. If we cancel a paid order, we refund what you paid for it.

Starting checkout holds the size you chose for 30 minutes. If payment is not completed in that time, the hold ends and the size may be sold to someone else. A page on the site is an invitation to buy, not an offer that we are bound to accept.

Shipping and risk

Pieces ship after the drop closes, to the address you gave at checkout. You will receive a note with tracking when the order leaves. Duties, customs charges, and local taxes, if any, are yours to pay. Give a complete and accurate address. We are not responsible for a delay or a failed delivery caused by an address you provided.

Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers the package to that address. If a shipment is lost or damaged in transit, email us and we will take it up with the carrier.

Fit, color, and description

The size guide is a description of how a piece is cut. It is not a guarantee of fit on your body. Photos are of the actual pieces, but screens differ, so color and texture can look slightly different in person. Small differences in a print or a dye lot are part of making a limited run.

Final sale

Sales are final. We do not take returns or exchanges for size, fit, or a change of mind. If a piece arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, email hello@serenedreams.com within 14 days of delivery, with your order details and photos. We will correct the mistake, replace the piece if we still have it, or refund what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits a right that the law does not allow us to limit.

The site

The site, the photographs, the logo, and the name Serene Dreams belong to us. You may not copy them, scrape the site, or use them to sell something else, without our written permission. You may not misuse checkout, interfere with the site, or try to get around a closed window or a sold-out size.

The site is provided as it is. We may change, pause, or remove it. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits. Our total liability for a claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law forbids that limit.

Disputes

Email hello@serenedreams.com first and give us a chance to fix the problem. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Serene Dreams operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that state may hear a dispute these terms do not resolve, except where the law gives you the right to sue somewhere else.

Changes

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new date. The version posted when you place an order applies to that order. If you keep using the site after a change, the new version applies to that later use.
